Steve can be found at many car events throughout the UK and Europe. He has been interviewed numerous times about his artwork and car.
Particularly enjoyable interviews included being interviewed on the Boxengasse YouTube Channel which currently has over 4k views.
THE ARTIST
I have always been a petrolhead. What really caught my attention was the excitement of touring cars in the 90's watching various rep mobiles and the odd estate car on its roof.
My obsession with Le Mans prototypes started my impressive collection of slot cars.
With a keen eye for construction, design and detail, I honed my craft for technical illustration. My passion is creating works traditionally, by hand and with an air brush.
There is no AI or computer assisting here, everything is done from eye and by hand.
THE PROCESS
I have always used the same medium of either watercolour or gouache on board with a combination of airbrush and brush work.
I work from photos, either taken by myself, by a client or images I find in books. I have such a huge list of cars that I want to paint I am not sure I will ever run out of inspiration!
I take great pleasure in creating bespoke commissions as I know that is someone's pride and joy.
MY CAR
I am lucky enough to have a restored a Porsche 944 which can often be seen being driven around the Goodwood Circuit.
The car has featured on many events and YouTube interviews. I enjoy being part of car clubs and selling my work at events.
